It is approved based on the following tests: - Flammability/ignitability - Hyperthermia - Choking hazard and risk of swallowing small parts. Additionally, the sleeping bag is TOG tested to indicate the indoor room temperature for which it is ideal. A TOG value of 2.5 is suitable for a room temperature of 18-21°C.
